I hope this email finds you well.
As you are aware, this week is Coeliac Awareness Week (13-19th May), and as part of this, I thought you might be interested in running a competition on your blog to give away a gluten-free hamper (approx. value £100) this week?
This would include new fresh chilled gluten-free pastas from Asda’s FreeFrom range, as well as Chickpea Fusilli from Dell’Ugo, the UK’s largest fresh pasta brand – as well as other gluten-free items.
Would you be interested? We are keen to run this ASAP this week to tie in with Coeliac Awareness Week http://www.coeliac.org.uk/node/200793
We also have some delicious and creative gluten-free pasta recipes to share from top-chef Steve Wadpole, Executive Head Development Chef at Dell’Ugo – would be interested in these?
Please let me know if you are interested
Possible competition text below – detailing contents – I have image I can send too.
This week is Coeliac Awareness Week and Asda has just launched two types of gluten-free fresh pasta under its Free From range: a penne and a tagliatelle. Made from cornflour and rice flour with the addition of water (no additives here!) it cooks in 3 minutes. Both varieties can be found in the chilled ready-meals aisle, priced at £1.50 for a 300g bag. To celebrate Coeliac Awareness Week we have a hamper filled with gluten-free goodies (worth around £150) to give away to one lucky winner. This includes Asda’s new fresh chilled pasta and also Dell’Ugo’s fresh Chickpea Fusilli, winner at this year’s FreeFrom Awards – as well as other gluten-free items. Dell’Ugo is the UK’s largest fresh pasta brand and specialises in making filled and unfilled pasta, based on authentic Italian recipes. Find out more at http://www.ugogroup.co.uk/
I thought I would leave a post because as far as I’m aware there isn’t a specifically free-from company that makes cakes for special occasions which are wheat and gluten free.
I am wheat intolerant but stay away from gluten generally and also really allergic to nuts and thought it was about time there was something for people with allergies and intolerences.
I bake cakes which are wheat-free, gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free and working on egg-free.
Check out my facebook page http://www.facebook.com/ninamodakcakes
I represent Dell’Ugo, UK’s largest fresh pasta brand – who also make gluten-free fresh pasta. We love your blog and think you and your readers might be interested in our products and new. What is the best way to get in touch with you regarding sending you info and samples to try? My email address is email@example.com I look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks
I have recently enjoyed reading your blog and can see how interested you are in new Gluten Free products that taste good and make life a little easier for Coeliacs, oarticularly those on a tight budget.
We are a small company based in Wiltshire making frozen, gluten free foods. We only make gluten free foods on our site to avoid any possibility of cross contamination. We buy traceable British meat in whole cuts eg British breast fillets, which we chop, and coat with a crispy gluten free crumb. We use British forequarter beef to which we add store cupboard ingredients to create our delicious lasagne. We do not add artificial colours, additives or flavours and we do not bulk out our products with water.
We launched Georgia’s Choice Chicken Bites and Georgia’s Choice Chicken Grills into Asda and Tesco last year. Retailing at £3 a pack they have been very popular. Great for those occasions when a quick fix is needed but you don’t want to compromise on quality or taste.
We are now adding 3 new lines to our range. Fish Cakes, which are, simply line caught Cod, potato and parsley coated in our crispy gluten free crumb. Mexican Bean Bake, a lightly spiced mix of sweet potato, peppers and corn coated in a gluten free crumb. Lasagne, a delicious beef bolognaise with béchamel sauce and rich cheddar cheese topping.
We are very proud of our range and feedback from coeliacs and conventional eaters suggest that once again we have successfully produced a gluten free version of a family favourite, which is superior in taste to the conventional version.
However, don’t take our word for it. we are happy to send you one of our products to independently review.

I had horrible problems with endometriosis and cysts also. I saw a doctor of naturalopathic medicine and he did a total workup. Results- take out ALL sugars from my diet, including fruits. I did this for 3 months before I was allowed to slowly incorporate fruit into my diet again. I also had 3 surgeries in 3 years along with shots from a specialist. I can say I am pain free now with only the monthly causing me problems. I hope the specialist and surgeries help, but please consider the diet issue.
I’m emailing from Udi’s Gluten Free and I’d love to send you some yummy gluten free goodies! Sorry to read you’ve not been well, I do hope you’re feeling better soon.

Just wanted to send a huge thanks from California for all your recipes and hardwork!! It is more appreciated than you could ever imagine!! Having a GF son who wasn’t diagnosed until 14 (now 16) has been challenging at times. He misses certain foods but thanks to your recipes he is having some of his old favorites again!!!
I hope you don’t mind me contacting you but as one of the top gluten free bloggers in the uk I’m hoping you can help me! I’m a coeliac, chef and nutritional therapist and I’m in the process of trying to set up a gluten free and specialist diet friendly restaurant in London. I’ve been running a gluten free popup for the last 10 months in Sussex and it’s been so successful that I’d love to open it as a full time venue. Over the last few months I’ve been putting a business plan together and meeting with investors. I’m most if the way there but I’ve launched the project on kickstarter to help raise the last little bit of money I need to get this off the ground.
It would be amazing if you could give this a mention on your blog and share the link on twitter and Facebook. The UK really needs something like this and if I’m going to make this work I needs lots of help spreading the word 🙂
Thanks in advance for your help
I have been looking at your website and I think it is very impressive. I am a bioresonance practitioner in London who deals with the testing and treating of allergies through frequency therapy. I was wondering if there was a possibility I could give yourself or someone of your choosing free allergy treatment and in return if I can show you that the process is successful I could possibly have my business web address linked on your website. please let me know if this is something that might interest you or if this is even possible do to your location.
My website is http://www.bioresonancelondon.co.uk.
Hi, I’ve recently been told I am coeliac (past week) and and came across this website whilst doing some research on what I can eat now. It’s so helpful!! I have to say that I’ve been struggling with with trying to figure out what I can eat and saying goodbye to some of my fav foods! I wondered if I could get some advice on some great foods, any products which are actually gluten free which had no idea about? I found the crisps review you did really helpful, and the restaurant guide (good to see Nandos provides options!)
Thanks very much 🙂
Hi Sara. I’ve been enjoying reading your blog and learning about life from a gluten-free perspective. My name is Rachel and I work at a revolutionary health & fitness studio in MCR City Centre. Very briefly, we are Greater Manchester’s first and only studio designated to the use of the popular whole body vibration machine, FLABeLOS. With just one 10 minute session, or ‘wobble’, on one of our fantastic machines, your body can receive the benefits of a full one hour body workout – A perfect low-impact alternative to the gym, without the sweat! Please take a look at our website for more information http://www.wobbleyou.co.uk – Thank you 🙂
After reading your blog, it was clear that you are interested in health and well-being. Although we’re not exactly a foodie establishment (and unfortunately can;t offer you any gluten free treats) I’d be really interested in inviting you and a couple of friends down for a FREE session at our studio, in light of giving us a review on your blog? If you’re interested it’d be great to hear from you. Please feel free to drop me an email at email@example.com or give the studio a call on 0161 228 3375.
Look forward to hearing from you! Thanks – Rachel, Studio Manager.
We are a small Spanish Tapas bar in Manchester. Most of our dishes including desserts are gluten free. We can provide lots of gluten free Spanish recipes as well
Just wanted to let you know that I love your banana loaf recipe & make it all the time! I’ve shared it on my blog & of course linked and credited yourself. However I can’t see your twitter name to include you in on the tweets. happy to do so if you let me know what it is, mine is glutenfreeandgs. I’ve been enjoying one or two slices today!
Awww so glad you enjoyed it! My twitter name is @coeliacstudent 🙂
Like your blogs and content!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment 🙂 I’m glad you like it
I would like to say how happy im am to have come across your page. My son is 17 and we are pretty certain he suffers from gluten and/or wheat intolerance. We have a large family and with this young adult actually being the most fussiest person ever you can imagine my shopping bills are already very high. This page not only has fantastic recipes they are the every day basics that people eat. Well within a budget that I am no longer fretful about how I am going to be able to help support my son with his dietary needs. Is there a cook book with your recipes in that I can buy anywhere.?
Thank you so much. X
Thank you for such a lovely comment Michelle. These messages always encourage me to blog and bake more. Unfortunately there is no cookbook available (although this is something I am planning on in the future) but I’m more than happy to help if you require any advice etc 🙂

Just used your Glutenfree battered fish recipe and it was great! I really miss fish and chips but that battered cod I just ate was equal to any I ate before diagnosis.
So glad you enjoyed it Gill 🙂 I miss fish and chips too. It used to be one of my favorite meals!
In April this year, we launched two Free From Pesto sauces which are proving extremely popular in Sainsbury’s and Tesco. They are shortly going into Co-op and Waitrose too. We launched them as a response to the increased consumer demand for both dairy and gluten free products. They are both certified gluten free, dairy free, egg free, are suitable for vegetarians and are both made in Italy by the Italian family.
I wondered whether we might be able to send you them both?
Hey thanks for getting in touch!
I’d be more than happy to give them a try. Could you email me more details to: firstname.lastname@example.org?
We’re dropping you a line as we’re exhibiting at the Allergy Show in London again. This year we’re very excited that the Founder of Bob’s Red Mill Products is going to be with us on our stand A106 on the 4-6 of July. He’ll also be available for a limited time on the days to sign copies of his inspirational auto biography ‘People before Profit’ which tells the story of how he created ‘Bob’s Red Mill’, overcame adversity & created the amazing co-ownership company that is a huge hit in America and beyond. Can you please send me you email address and I will email you more details?
Of course, my email address is email@example.com
I have just made and eaten your battered fish recipe. Ambrosia! Better than most chippy versions. Thank you.
aww thank you Gill for such a lovely comment 🙂 I’m so glad you enjoyed the battered fish recipe! I haven’t made it in a while but may have to give it another go
Hope you’re well and having a great week so far!

As someone who writes about gluten-free diet and food, l wanted to let you know about a new food launch, which you might find interesting for your blog – new Gluten Free Corn Flakes from Nestle.
As well as providing a gluten-free version of a popular cereal product, this is the first time ever in the UK that a gluten-free cereal will be available in the mainstream cereal aisle, rather than hidden away in the specialist gluten-free section.
We would like to send you some samples of the product so you can try them for yourself. Please let us know if this is of interest and where we should send them.
We would also be keen to run a competition with you, and wondered if this would be of interest? We can offer a variety of competition prizes and can tailor these to suit you and your blog. If you would like to work with us on this, please let us know
I hope this is of interest and look forward to hearing from you with regards to samples.

Gluten-free goes mainstream with breakthrough cereal launch by Nestlé
For the first time ever in the UK, a gluten-free breakfast cereal will sit alongside other well-known brands in the mainstream cereal aisle, marking a breakthrough in the availability of gluten-free cereal products.
New Gluten Free Corn Flakes from Nestlé will occupy a prime position next to traditional cereals; including Nestlé’s other popular choices CHEERIOS and SHREDDIES.
The gluten-free cereals market is growing significantly with a 2014 IRI report estimating the British market to be worth £17.5 million annually and growing up to 37% YOY for the last 5 years, indicating a strong demand for innovative new products in the gluten-free arena.
Dr Jolene McMonagle, a CPW nutritionist who has been at the heart of the development of Nestlé’s new Gluten Free Corn Flakes, said: “We’ve known for a long time that gluten-free products are increasing in popularity, but we also recognise that some of the gluten-free breakfast cereal products do not offer the same taste and flavour as their mainstream cereal counterparts.”
“We developed Nestlé Gluten Free Corn Flakes to provide families with a gluten-free option that is full of flavour, but without the gluten. Additionally, our Gluten Free Corn Flakes are fortified with vitamins and minerals to ensure that essential nutrients are in every bowl.”
David Homer, Chief Executive Officer of Cereal Partners Worldwide, the joint venture between Nestlé and General Mills, said: “Gluten Free Corn Flakes is all about giving everyone more choice when it comes to breakfast. We are meeting the changing needs of consumers by providing a gluten-free breakfast alternative for busy, health-conscious families.
“We are extremely pleased that Nestlé Gluten Free Corn Flakes will be available in the mainstream cereal aisle at a competitive price, which, for the first time, makes a gluten-free breakfast cereal accessible to everyone.”
To accompany the mainstream placement the cereals will come with a mainstream price in-line with other cornflake offerings as opposed to the higher price usually associated with gluten free products. Nestlé Gluten Free Corn Flakes will be widely available in major supermarkets and come in two tasty varieties: Traditional and Honey, which will have R.R.Ps of £1.99 and £2.19 respectively.
New Gluten Free Corn Flakes are fortified with B-vitamins and iron. Each 30g serving* contains 31% of the recommended daily allowance (RDA) of Vitamin D, 51% RDA of Riboflavin, and 30% RDA of iron.

I hope you’re having a lovely Tuesday morning.
My name is Rachel and I work with Newburn Bakehouse.
I wanted to let you know about a recent infographic that Newburn has created, centred on a number of recipes for the Christmas period. Foodie festivities are a huge part of the winter season and we wanted to create recipes that allow those with special dietary requirements to enjoy Christmas food as well.
The infographic is called “Discover Gluten Free this Christmas”, which tells the tale of Santa discovering gluten free whilst delivering presents on Christmas Eve.
Throughout the infographic are click through recipes, including mince pies and brandy butter, soup with gluten free croutons and blueberry and cranberry trifle, no name a few. As well as being gluten free, the recipes are all dairy free too.
The infographic is fun for the kids to read, and we are hoping that the recipes will be something that the whole family can enjoy together this Christmas.
I would be thrilled if you could take some time to have a look at the infographic and recipes, and let me know your thoughts on them? You can find them here: http://www.newburnbakehouse.com/discover-gluten-and-dairy-free-living-this-christmas
If you like the piece, we would be delighted if you would consider hosting the infographic on your site.
I look forward to hearing back from you.
All the best,
Just to let you know there is a lovely little deli in Ellon, Aberdeenshire which as of next week will be launching a completely gluten free menu to eat in or takeaway.
Let me know if you would like more info.
Thats fantastic news! I love it when restaurants do this, it gives me hope that one day everywhere will cater for coeliacs!
My daughter got diagnosed after becoming suddening serous ill. July 17 2014. And on Jan21 2015 was diagnosed Coeliac. At the moment we are struggling to find a nice tasting gravy. This very important to her as she is fabulous and loves her dinners but gravy is crucial in her eating these dinners.
I know how she feels! Before my diagnosis I had gravy with everything, even with pancakes (don’t judge!). I’ve found the Bisto Best Gravys are amazing. They use real meat juices, are safe for coeliacs and Coeliac UK deems them safe too. If you don’t quite fancy a meat gravy, they also do a lovely vegetarian option too. I find them amongst all the other gravys 🙂
Meant to say Diabetic
I work for a company called NaturallyFree and we have just recently opened up an online business. We would like you to get into contact with us with regards to trying and shopping at our site and then blogging about your experience. Please let me know if you would be interested firstname.lastname@example.org
Hi Sarah, thanks for getting in touch!
I’d be more than happy to take a look at Naturally Free and blogging about my experience. I’m starting to use the internet to order great healthy and gluten free products that I can’t find in the supermarkets. Would you be able to email me? My email address is: email@example.com. Thank you
I absolutely love your recipes (especially the chocolate cake in a cup!)
On your chocolate tray bake recipe, if your flour does not contain Xanthan gum do you know how much you would need to add?
Many thanks, Rachael
Hey Rachael, thanks so much for your lovely comment! The cake in a cup comes in handy when all you want is a quick sweet treat but can’t be bothered to bake!
I usually try to stick to flour that contains Xanthan Gum (Doves gluten free flour for example) but if I find I have to add it myself, I use a teaspoon 🙂 xx
Bisto best is no longer gluten free
I just want to say a HUGE thank you for your gluten free fish batter receipe. I have now tried it 3 times and have now mastered it, much to my wife and my 4 year old son’s pleasure.
I am British but now live in Sweden and getting the options of getting gluten free fish and chips are even rarer than in the UK!!
On the whole Sweden has a good range of gluten free products, though expensive, so to find your receipe (and of which, works!) has been a huge relief.
One question I have, I will be visiting and travelling around Britain in the summer, is there a list somewhere of fish & chips shops that sell gluten free battered fish?
Glad I found your site as I was missing Wotsits and found your article about Sainsburys selling cheesey puffs. I bought 2 multipacks!
I had also really been missing Chinese sauces as they all seem to have wheat (apart from bottles of basic sweet chilli sauces). However, I just found one:
Sweet Mandarin (brand) Hoi Sin Sauce 220ml (Vegan/Veggie/GlutenFree)
(They had sweet and sour aswell).
I got a bottle from Waitrose today but it seems that other shops sell it too.
I hope you enjoy.
